Emilio "Millito" Navarro passed away on April 30th, 2011. He was 105. Emilio was thought to be the oldest living professional baseball player. He claimed to have no secret to long life, but enjoyed dancing and an occasional glass of whiskey.
He started playing in the 1920s and was the first Puerto RIcan to play in the Negro leagues, before the great Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier.
He is a member of the Puerto Rico Baseball Hall of Fame and the Puerto RIco Sports Hall of Fame.
Beyond his amazing achievements as a professional athlete, he was described by his son as an excellent father and will certainly be missed by his large surviving family.
