Although he was knocked out, I would still describe him as having an excellent chin because the first knock down in the 4th round would have been enough to finish many fighters. Promoter Bob Arum said the loss was due to being distracted and unprepared and noted that his weight had gone up between training. He also mentioned that Miguel Cotto left training in Puerto Rico in order to avoid distractions and is now staying in shape between fights.

We can expect JuanMa to take a tune up in 4+ months. However, I would like to see him get back into shape and immediately rematch to make up for his only loss (including his championship).
