Read on to find out why you should be trusting your dining experience primarily with Longhorn Steakhouse if you live in the Mayaguez area.

OK - so if you are budget minded (and we should all be right now) then staying at home is a great option... but we might also consider that small joints like Piccadilly's should maybe be forgiven for their blunders. One "Get Out of Jail Free Card"... Not to say they shouldn't fix them. They should. Are you listening Piccadilly's?

Yet, for those of us who are occasionally willing to pay for a higher level presentation, a nice ambiance, an air conditioned/comfortable environment, and decent service from staff who care (at least enough to keep their tip payload high)... Longhorn Steakhouse in Mayaguez consistently gets top ranking in my book.

Longhorn Steakhouse in Mayaguez consistently gets top ranking in my book in every aspect.

They are not perfect, but they do benefit largely from a real lack of competition. Chili's Grill & Bar at the Mayaguez Mall just doesn't make the grade for me, especially after the $8 salad fiasco and certainly not now that they are no longer conveniently located to the busted out Cinevista movie theater. I did try them again recently... And:

Did you ever finally break away from an ex girlfriend or boyfriend, and then when you finally see them again you realize they were never right for you to begin with? Well... that's the feeling I had at Chili's recently... they were never right for me (and maybe not you either) from the beginning. I CAN quit Chili's.

Pizzeria Uno at the Mayaguez Mall gets a passing grade, if you can withstand the influx of mall rats (i.e. mall shoppers for those of you using translators) and a much higher noise level. However, Uno's is a nice place to settle down for a few beers, yuppy style. And they very much want us to know that! Great margins on alcohol you know despite what the beach side vendors may believe when they dish them out at $1 a can. ;)

For the best of the current restaurant chains in the Mayaguez area, I strongly recommend Longhorn... at least until someone has the good financial sense to introduce an East Side Mario's here!

By the way Longhorn, you close at 12am, not 12pm.
