Senator Roberto Arango has resigned after it was revealed that he likely posted a picture of his anus and other partially nude photos on an iPhone app for gays and bisexuals called Grindr.

Arango has not publicly admitted posting the photos, but did tell Wapa TV that he took pictures on his cell phone to "document his weight loss".

Nonetheless, he did submit a letter of resignation to the Senate, confirmed by Senate President Thomas Rivera Schatz.

Excerpts from his comments to WAPA TV including the somewhat dubious statement here:

"I really don't remember having taken those pictures of myself, but it doesn't mean I didn't take them. I really don't remember."

It was noted that he did not support an effort to legalize gay marriage in Puerto Rico, which would be consistent with his Republican Party affiliation, but not so much with his lifestyle it turns out that he is indeed a homosexual.

If he was participating or experimenting on the gay site, perhaps members of the Republican Party with expertise in such matters may reach out to him for assistance, such as Michelle Bachmann.
